Fantastic spot to sit and eat. We ordered a poutine with chicken. Easily enough to share between 2 people. My husband had beef shawarma with garlic potatoes. We also had a mango smoothie and the staff gave us falafel to taste test. Best falafel I’ve ever had. So crispy on the outside. There’s a nice outdoor covered seating area with really comfortable tables and chairs. Highly recommend!!!!

This restaurant offers a seemingly endless menu of diverse foods, which is usually a red flag to me, but I was pleasantly surprised with how good their mixed shawarma sandwich was! On the other hand, the apple fritter was one of the worst I've ever had... but it was cheap. I'll ignore it for this rating given how good the shawarma was! Mixed shawarma sandwich - (4.5/5) -fresh meat and toppings -rolled perfectly, not too much sauce, so it did not get soggy

Delicious, hot food. Generous portions. Very clean restaurant, and great service! Came in with a group of 10. The were very friendly and surprised us with some complimentary sweets. Would 100% recommend. Looking forward to coming here again.

Love this place and have been well over 20 times. We go often, and they are fast, fun, and do a fantastic platter. The family platter usually feeds a group of 5 or 7 (depending on how big of eaters you are). The food is always fresh and consistently of high quality. The staff are fun and have a good time. Very friendly and helpful. This place is also gluten-friendly as compared to other Shawarma places if you order the plate or platter. Pita is on the side.

Strand Restaurant is always very welcoming. Every time I’ve visited, I’ve had a great experience. Most recently, I went for breakfast with my family. After reviewing the breakfast menu, we noticed that some of the items included ingredients we are allergic to or cannot eat due to dietary restrictions. The staff went above and beyond by offering to replace those ingredients with alternatives that suited our needs. This required them to do extra cleaning and preparation that wasn’t originally planned, yet they did it with care—and the food looked and tasted absolutely delicious. I’m writing this review to express my sincere gratitude to the entire team at Strand Restaurant for their outstanding hospitality and thoughtful service. Thank you very much!

Been to several shawarma places over the years. This is BY FAR the best shawarma place in the city. Key is, the freshest ingredient and well balanced meat. On top of that, it has a nostalgic old fashioned Canadian eatery Interior, while serving mid east food, giving you a unique experience that I have not had anywhere else. Shining clean. Extremely friendly staff. Will be back very soon.

I can’t believe I hadn’t gone sooner! Great location, free parking, and 50’s diner style vibe with a Mediterranean twist. Friendly, family service. I ordered the Schwarma platter using a coupon from a local advertising service and coupon or not, will happily return! FRESH and ample ingredients, and a delicious way to feed 5-6 people easily.
